Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the Credalize platform operated by Credalize ("we", "us"). By creating an account or submitting a credit application you agree to them on behalf of the business you represent.
1. The service
Credalize is a business-to-business platform for preparing, submitting and reviewing trade credit applications. Customers assemble their business details, supporting documents and trade references once, then submit credit applications to the vendors they wish to trade with. Vendors review those applications and record their own decision.
We provide the software. We are not a lender, a credit bureau, a credit rating agency or a broker, we do not extend credit, and we take no part in the commercial relationship between a customer and a vendor.
2. Accounts and authority
You need an account to use the service. When you register you confirm that you are authorised to act for the business you register, and you agree to:
- provide accurate and complete registration details;
- keep your business details and documents up to date;
- keep your sign-in credentials confidential;
- tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
You are responsible for everything done through your account, and for the accuracy of everything submitted from it.
3. Applications, documents and references
When you submit a credit application, the vendor you name receives your business details, your supporting documents and the outcome of our automated checks on them. Submitting an application is your instruction to us to share that information with that vendor.
You may only upload documents that relate to your own business and that you are entitled to share. When you nominate a trade reference we contact that reference on your behalf using the details you provide.
A vendor decides for itself whether to approve, decline or limit credit. We do not make, influence or review that decision, and we do not guarantee that any application will be approved.
4. Automated document analysis
Documents you upload are analysed automatically using a third-party large language model, which extracts information, compares it against the business details on your account and highlights possible discrepancies.
That analysis is an aid to human review. It can be incomplete or wrong, it is not a verification, authentication or compliance determination, and neither we nor any vendor may treat it as one. You and the reviewing vendor remain responsible for your own due diligence.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service unlawfully or fraudulently;
- submit forged, altered or misleading documents or business details;
- upload documents belonging to another business without its authority;
- attempt to access accounts, applications or documents that are not yours;
- probe, scan or interfere with the security or integrity of the service;
- reverse engineer the service or use it to build a competing product.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section, and report suspected fraud to the affected parties and to the authorities.
6. Subscriptions and payment
Paid plans are billed through Stripe on the cycle shown at checkout. Fees are payable in advance and recur until cancelled. You authorise us to charge your payment method for each renewal.
We may change our prices on reasonable notice, taking effect from your next billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
7. Third-party services
The service depends on third parties, including our authentication provider, hosting and file storage, email delivery, payment processing, the language model used for document analysis, and the accounting platforms you choose to connect.
Connecting an accounting integration authorises us to access the data that integration exposes, for as long as the connection remains active. You may disconnect it at any time. We are not responsible for those third parties' own acts, omissions or availability.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend it for maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. Cancelling a paid plan takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We may suspend or terminate access where you breach these terms, where we are required to by law, or where continuing would expose us or other users to material risk.
After closure we retain records for as long as we are required to, as described in our privacy policy. Applications and documents already shared with a vendor remain with that vendor and are governed by its own retention obligations.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.
We are not liable for credit granted, refused or withdrawn, for losses arising from a counterparty's conduct, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the application or by email before they take effect, and continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
